Cherry Cheescake Waffle

Makes 1 Stuffed Waffles

Ingredients

3/4 cup (180ml) waffle batter

1/4 cup (60ml) cherry pie filling

1/4 cup (60ml) cubes of new york style cheesecake

 

 Directions

  1. Plug in waffle maker and wait for it to preheat and the green light to turn on.
  2. Spray the inside of both the top and bottom of the cooking plates with cooking spray.
  3. Pour half of the waffle batter evenly in the bottom cooking plate.
  4. Spread the pie filling and cubes of cheesecake evenly across the batter leaving about 1/4 inch space around the edge of the batter.
  5. Pour the remaining half of the batter in the cooking plate evenly on top of the filling and along the sides.
  6. Close the lid of the waffle maker and lock with the latch. Flip over and cook for 8 minutes.

Makes 1 Stuffed Waffles

Ingredients

2/3 cup (160ml) waffle batter

2 tbsp (30ml) crushed graham crackers

1/4 cup (60ml) chocolate chips

2 tbsp (30ml) marshmallow cream

Basic Waffle Batter

Makes 3-4 Stuffed Waffles

Ingredients

2 cups (480ml) flour
3 tbsp (45ml) sugar
3 tsp (15ml) baking powder 
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup (420ml) milk
5 tbsp (75ml) oil
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla

 

Directions

  1. Whisk dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth and well combined.
  4. Let stand for about 10 minutes.

Cornbread Waffle Batter

Makes 3-4 Stuffed Waffles

Ingredients

1 cup (250 ml) flour
1 cup (250 ml) cornmeal
2 tbsp (30 ml) sugar
3 tsp (15 ml) baking powder
1 tsp (5 ml) salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup (430 ml) milk
4 tbsp (60 ml) oil

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, milk and oil.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth and well combined.

2 cups (500 ml) gluten free all-purpose flour
3 tbsp (45 ml) sugar
3 tsp (15 ml) baking powder
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup (430 ml) milk 4 tbsp (60 ml) oil
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
